When people hear the words Raw Honey, they usually associate it with uncooked meat or vegetables. What come to mind are kinds of food that are better when they are cooked and not edible when they are raw. With raw honey, the product is unpasteurized, unheated and it’s basically straight from the bee hive.
The fact is that raw Honey is the best kind around. Royal jelly and other types of honey may be promoted as being very healthy but nothing beats the nutritional value that you might get from the former. For one, it is alkaline forming which means that when its ingredients are broken down in your stomach, they become alkaline. This is good because it counteracts acidity and that will keep you healthy and safe from sickness and bacterial infections.
Another reason why it is healthy is because it is packed with anti oxidants that boost your immune system and help your body function better. In addition to that, anti oxidants can sweep your body of all its toxins leaving you with a fresher and cleaner system that can never be a bad thing.
Lastly, it is much better because the processed counter parts of honey are usually heated and mixed with preservatives. The heat treatment breaks down the anti oxidants and diminishes it nutritional value while the preservatives do not digest as well as organic products in your stomach.
Overall, raw honey is the better product in almost all aspects. Including it in your diet or replacing your processed honey products with it can only do you good.
